People tend to FORGET or IGNORE when they have to get their vaccine shots and what shots they need.

Busy moms and dads need to track their own vaccines plus those of their whole FAMILIES.

What about if they move ABROAD? Vaccine recommendations are numerous and different in each country.

Wogic’s idea with Vaxini is to MAKE LIFE SIMPLER by notifying users when their next vaccine shot is due, based on their personal vaccine history, current location and the WHO’s recommendations.

The challenge was to deliver these features in a highly-regulated and sensitive environment, complying with US Food and Drug Administration’s regulation.

Vaxini was born as an ANDROID application built from the ground up. It consists of the Android application and a REST API. A WEB version was later developed, to serve professionals who need to have an easy access from their desktop.

1/3 USER JOURNEY & USER EXPERIENCE

CREATE A PROFILE with their personal information such as date of birth and gender.

They are offered to fill in their vaccine history and to STORE IT on a dedicated server.

They can add MORE USERS to their account such as family members, and repeat the operation!

The application will use the information uploaded as well as the WHO recommendations to define a PERSONALIZED CALENDAR of upcoming due shots. Users can access their calendar anytime but can also activate NOTIFICATIONS to be automatically reminded of upcoming shots.

If users change location, the app automatically detects the change and updates the calendar according to local specifications.

2/3 DATA STORAGE

Personal vaccine information is stored in a REMOTE SERVER to guarantee that it will remain accessible in the long term, independently of device changes.

The application complies with FDA SPECIFICATION title 21 CFR Part 11, storing every change that is made to personal data to guarantee data tracking through data versioning.

3/3 WEB VERSION

A web version of the Android application was developed to make it ACCESSIBLE from ANY DEVICE.

This makes the management of NUMEROUS USERS easier, in particular for practitioners who use Vaxini, from their desktop, as a tool to track their patient’s vaccine information and to SHARE it easily with them, through the application.
